My Teaching Philosophy
Students are the future and deserve great investment. There is nothing I want more as a teacher than to make a difference and leave an impact on each of the lives who enter my room. I use a caring, student-centered approach to teaching, including establishing relationships, providing a nurturing environment, and being intentional in all I do. I do not take the opportunity to educate students for granted. I teach in ways that are interactive and exciting for students while assuring that each lesson has purpose and meaning. I value the opportunity to lead by example and plan to use my position to teach students life skills that they will be able to take with them wherever they go. I strongly believe in inclusion and differentiation, understanding that each child is an individual and knowing my job is to meet their needs. I intend to make my classroom an active learning environment by designating spaces that promote collaboration and investigation. Students deserve the best education possible and I am determined to give them just that.
