OBSERVATION and Practicum
30 Hour Observation:
In the fall of 2016 I observed Mrs. Jana Detwiler's 4th grade class at Liberty Elementary School in Bismarck, ND. Block 1 Practicum: In the spring of 2018 I was a practicum student in Mrs. Molly Enockson's 3rd grade class at Northridge Elementary School in Bismarck, ND. I taught Language Arts and Art lessons while I was there. Block 2 Practicum: In the fall of 2018, I was a practicum student in Mrs. Karen Uhler's 1st grade class at Saint Mary's Grade School in Bismarck, ND. I am teaching Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Art while in this class. Special Education Practicum: In the spring of 2018 I was a practicum student in Mrs. Megan Goetz's special education classroom at Pioneer Elementary School in Bismarck, ND. This practicum allowed me to observe the special education setting and teach mini lessons to students. |
ACademics & Education
Involvement in a Project Based Learning Grant
This grant has offered me training of how to implement project based learning into the classroom while being able to work alongside my cooperating teacher for student teaching. I will continue this training throughout my student teaching expereince. Phi Theta Kappa I was a part of this two-year honors program while I was a student at Bismarck State College. Dean's Honor Roll I have maintained 4.0 GPA throughout my undergraduate career. |

Nanny: 2013 - 2014
I took care of five siblings during my junior year of high school. Throughout the week, I took the children to practice, helped them with homework, and assisted in household chores. YMCA Youth Development Center Leader: 2015 - 2016 I co-taught a room of kindergartners and first graders. This included planning activities, art projects, and games. |
Summer Nanny: 2016
I took care of two siblings throughout the summer. We spent much of our time playing games and activities. I brought children to their practice and activities. We also went on various outings within Bismarck. Bismarck Life After School Time (BLAST) Leader: 2016 – present I welcomed students as school got out, helped them with homework, and planned activities, art, and games. This is the job that lead me to education. Activity Center Head Leader: 2018 I lead students and leaders in a summer program at a local elementary school. I planned activities, games, art, and outings. I also communicated with parents and supervisors. |
